I have just posted a new article about their song “Nothing Else Matters”. You can see a video of Metallica performing the song live.

“Nothing Else Matters” was first released in 1991 on Metallica’s self-titled Black Album. The song reached #11 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in 1992. Singer and rhythm guitarist James Hetfield initially wrote this song for a former girlfriend. He considered it a very personal song and was not going to publish it, until drummer Lars Ulrich heard it and wanted it on Metallica Black Album. Now Metallica considers it a song dedicated to all their fans and it has become a staple of their live performances.

I have just posted a new article about their song “Come As You Are”. You can see a video of Nirvana performing the song live in 1991.

“Come as You Are” was written by frontman Kurt Cobain and released as the second single from the band’s second studio album Nevermind in 1992. It was the band’s second American Top 40 hit, reaching number thirty-two on the Billboard Hot 100.
