Lookalikes

Friday, January 26th, 2007

In today’s day and age there are tons of people who want to look like celebrities. Not only do these people decide to dress and act like their favorite celebrity, but of course they want to look the same way as well. These lookalikes are not uncommon, and you have probably seen them on television at least once or twice. In fact, there have been several television programs dedicated to celebrity lookalikes. It is quite interesting to see how so many people can make themselves look like another person.

If you want to be a celebrity lookalike you are going to have to put in a lot of work and in many cases a lot of money as well. The first step that you will have to take is learning everything about the celebrity who you are interested in. Take notes on how they dress, how they act, and of course what they look like. When considering physical features you should look at every last detail from facial features down to the feet. After all, the more detail that you can copy the more you will look like your favorite celebrity.

There are two types of lookalikes in the world today. There are the people who naturally look like celebrities and only do a bit of work to cap things off, and then there are those people who work on their body in order to achieve the results they are after. This means that they will eat less if they have to, and even get plastic surgery if it is a must. While there is nothing wrong with this, make sure that you know what you are doing before you get in too deep. In other words, do you want to be a celebrity lookalike for the rest of your life?

Believe it or not there are lookalikes agencies that are becoming quite popular. These agencies specialize in finding celebrity lookalikes, and then booking them on jobs that suits their needs. This may not seem like a very big industry, but it is actually picking up a lot of steam. This all goes back to the sheer volume of people who are obsessed with celebrities and what they are doing on a daily basis.

If you think that you look like a certain celebrity it may be in your best interest to get in touch with a lookalike agency. They will be able to give you an honest assessment, and if good enough you may be able to begin booking jobs. Many people work very hard to tweak their look so that they can become one of the featured lookalikes at an agency.

With so many people interested in the way that celebrities look, it is easy to see why so many lookalikes are popping up all over the world. As more and more lookalike agencies are established, this industry is only going to get stronger. In turn this will lead to a lot of newcomers trying their hand as a celebrity lookalike.

There are lookalikes for almost every big name celebrity in the world. If you are one of the people who look like a celebrity you probably have a lot of fun with the attention that you get. Plus, you can turn this into a career if you can get hooked up with the right agency. And even for the people who do not look like a celebrity, it is still interesting to take a deeper gander at this industry. It is amazing to see how so many people look the same, and how many more are well on their way.

HDTV Ready LCD – The Future Is Already Here!

Tuesday, December 26th, 2006
I know sports fans with HDTV televisions who say it makes them feel part of the game, their images are so realistic and true-to-life that they wonder how they ever did without it. Standard TV seems lame by comparison. And many scientists believe that the flat panel of a HDTV ready LCD is easier on the eyes than the more traditional rounded one typical of other models.

HDTV Projection System Makes Great Family Entertainment

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

Although I was talking on the phone, my little girl somehow knew what our conversation was about, and she was like, “yes, mom I wanna be there! Please, please can we go? It’s gonna be a lot of fun!” Now how could I say no to that? :) Since we happened to be only a few blocks away from their house, I told Nancy we would come straight over. My daughter couldn’t contain her excitement. She would be spending the evening with her best buddies watching cartoons on a giant HDTV projection. What more could a kid ask for, right? :)

Why Should I Get HDTV In My Home

Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

HDTV lets one view images the wide screen way in which they were usually filmed. This boils down to a pure translation of the image from the broadcaster to your TV. You are getting the full image as well as more of it. The typical analog image is based on only 525 to 625 lines of image. HDTV transmissions give one up to 1080 lines of resolution. Those extra lines make an image look like it is real.

I’m Dreaming Of Jeannie Right Now

Thursday, September 7th, 2006

i dream of jeannie at www.ArticleMAINia.com

For instance, the classic “I Dream of Jeannie” costume was the subject of much discussion, attention, and even controversy – first, it could not be so revealing that it left open to viewers the sight of Barbara Eden’s navel – which it first was when costumers originally created it. Next, the more commonly appearing “I Dream of Jeannie” get-up was a pink harem outfit – but in a few episodes, Eden/Jeannie wears a green costume… which would become the costume of her evil twin in later episodes. Finally, because it represents or represented such hallmark iconography, the “I Dream of Jeannie” costume is under glass on display at the Smithsonian Institute.

Science Fiction Books Are Very Popular

Sunday, August 27th, 2006

Here’s about Science Fiction Books
Science fiction books appeals to many readers. I have always enjoyed science fiction books, from the time I was a very small child on. When I was 8 years old, I joined a science fiction book club, where we read some of the science fiction classics. I remember “The Time Machine” and “Journey to the Center of the Earth,” like they were days gone by. My much loved science fiction books, on the other hand, were a little bit more modern classics. I actually liked space opera, such as Robert A. Heinlein’s “Citizen of the Galaxy”, or Later, Orson Scott Card’s “Ender’s Game.”

High Definition Video

Monday, August 21st, 2006

Being interested in sports, we do need a quality tv set, it really is a big concern for all sports buffs. HDTV or high definition television normally refers to any video system of higher resolution than the standard definition. The original HD specifications date back to the early 1980s, when Japan first experimented with a 1025 line television standard.

Japan presented their parameters at an international meeting of television engineers in Algiers in 1981 and Japan’s NHK presented their analog HDTV system at a Swiss conference in 1983. Except for these early formats, HDTV is digital broadcast and therefore it’s introduction will sometimes conincide with the introduction of DTV, or digital television.

As if there’s not enough TV’s dominating our life as it is, we’re now seeing folks walk around with the tiny LCD portable TV in their hands, the 5 portable TV fixed into car consoles, and the soon to be TV on the mobile phones.  I have to admit I love TV and anything to do with it, and although I think it’s not particularly healthy I am a self confessed TV addict.

Indie Film is it for you?

Wednesday, August 9th, 2006

Indie [independent] film culture is a blessing to those of us who are in love with movies but who cannot always wrap our brains around pop culture blockbuster type story lines, dialogues, and sets. Lets face it Hollywood is going downhill these days with crapy writing and an old boys network that encourages stagnation. The indie film is like an attic in the winter: you go to it to uncover the best kept secrets of the house, to listen to just the rain on the roof, to read, to think.

Portable TV

Article about Portable TV

I’ve always liked the idea of a portable TV.  The idea of walking around watching TV while standing in line some place, or doing chores around the house is something of a novelty.  When the first portable TVs came out, I remember picking one up and feeling pretty excited about the idea.  The one I got was black and white only, carried an exorbitant price tag, and had a pretty poor image, but hey, I could watch TV while doing laundry, or shaving.  How cool is that?
