Acne Vulgaris
Acne Vulgaris is largely the result of increased production of hormones. This is the most common form of acne with several types of pimples such as whiteheads, papules, pustules, nodules and cysts.
Let’s examine each of those types of pimples along with the symptoms.
Whiteheads
the result of completely blocked pore, trapped sebum (oil), bacteria and dead skin cells that eventually turns into a visible Comedo(primary sign of Acne. Whiteheads are normally quicker in life cycle than blackheads, this is the type of acne Vulgaris what called closed comedones. The reason is because the comedones stay below the surface of the skin.
Blackheads
The result of partially blocked pore. The tip has a black color due to the result of a reaction between a melanin (a dark pigment in your skin) with oxygen in the air. Also know as open Comedones.
On some occasion the Comedo can develop into inflammatory lesion (severe form). With the sign of inflammatory lesion as follow swelling, redness, heat and sometimes pain.
Papules
Papules are a small firm red bump with no head, commonly referred as zit.
Pustules
In some sort of way similar to whitehead, contains a bunch of white blood cells. Appears as a red circle with a white and yellow center, also known as “pus pimples”
Nodules
A large acne with lumpy, inflamed, hard-bump under the skin’s surface, quite painful and can last for months often followed with scarring.
Cysts
Similar with nodule and the term is often used interchangeably with “nodule” because of the similar characteristics between both.
Macule
After acne lesion has been healed, there is a flat red, purple spot in the place where papule used to be.
Acne Rosacea
Acne rosacea may first appear as a red rash on your cheeks and forehead that spreads to your nose and chin. It affects more often to woman over the age of 30, but often men have more severe form. People from certain ethnic backgrounds are more likely to have it, for instance, people from Great Britain, Germany or some areas of Eastern Europe.
Heredity plays a major role as a cause of acne rosacea, with the main lesions as follow: Telangiectasias, papules, and pustules. Left untreated, it can cause what so-called Rhinophyma or the condition of the growth of excess tissue.

Precautions to avoid Acne:
· Don’t pick, pop or squeeze, or otherwise mess with your skin. Squeezing blemishes or whiteheads can lead to infection or scarring.
· Wash your pillowcase often and always use clean face towels.
· Be sure to pull your hair away from your skin when you sleep.
· Try to shower as soon as possible after your workout since sweat combined with skin oils can trap dirt and bacteria in your pores.

· Exercising regularly can help reduce stress and it increases blood circulation and oxygen penetration to the skin, which may help to prevent acne.
· Drink at least 64 ounces of water a day to help “detoxify” the body from the inside out.
Major Reasons for infecting Acne:
· Acne is generally caused by clogged pores that attract dirt and grime and eventually suffocate the skin

· Due to neglecting those hard-to-reach areas like your back
Acne can be cured with following simple Tips:
· Apply a honey mask to your face once or twice a week
· Wash twice a day with acne soap
· Keep your hair off your face
· Eat carrots

Caring for acne prone skin is a challenge for anyone but it can be done, and may be easier than you think. The steps are very logical.
- Good hygiene is the key, but be careful not to overdo the washing. Wash your face and other affected areas once or twice a day. Don’t over do it because too much washing, or too vigorous a wash can actually cause damage to the skin, and make acne worse.
- make sure that you are eating right, and getting proper nutrition, The body needs nutrition to have a healthy immune system and fight off infections, and acne produces small infections. For this reason, eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains and lean meat
- If you are a man, be careful shaving. Shave around blemishes, even if you are leaving a little patch of beard. That is certainly better than walking around with bandages on your sore face.
If you are a woman, remember that makeup causing acne is a myth, but clogging pores is not, so use a makeup that does not clog pores, and if possible one that contains a medication that kills bacteria and will help cut back on acne.
- Unplugging the pores will stop the spread of acne no matter what our skin type.

Most individuals are surprised to learn they are not alone with symptoms of IBS. In fact, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) affects approximately 10-20% of the general population. It is the most common disease diagnosed by gastroenterologists (doctors who specialize in medical treatment of disorders of the stomach and intestines) and one of the most common disorders seen by primary care physicians.
Sometimes irritable bowel syndrome is referred to as spastic colon, mucous colitis, spastic colitis, nervous stomach, or irritable colon.
Irritable bowel syndrome, or IBS, is generally classified as a “functional” disorder. A functional disorder refers to a disorder or disease where the primary abnormality is an altered physiological function (the way the body works), rather than an identifiable structural or biochemical cause. It characterizes a disorder that generally can not be diagnosed in a traditional way; that is, as an inflammatory, infectious, or structural abnormality that can be seen by commonly used examination, x-ray, or blood test.

Nursing Continuing Education
In the ever-changing arena of healthcare, nurses must be diligent in their profession, and stay abreast of constantly changing technology, research, and practice related issues. There are many nursing continuing education courses available in a variety of topics pertinent to the nurses’ area of expertise or interests. Most states require a number (which varies by state) of continuing education units (CEUs) to be completed each license renewal period, usually every two years.
There are many websites devoted strictly to CEUs, as well as those offered by various professional nursing organizations. Some nursing continuing education providers offer free courses, some offer unlimited CEUs for a flat fee per year, others base fees per course and number of CEUs awarded. Topics range from general, such as pain management or diabetes, to more specific, like intravascular catheter-related infections. Many courses can be combined with travel to fun destinations, with many discounts available for hotels, meals, and possibly some attractions, especially if attending a conference in the Las Vegas area.

Treatment by microdermabrasion removes stretch marks by partially removing the top layer of skin so that the skin below tightens and smooths. Like when you sandpaper a piece of wood, well maybe the men out there might appreciate that analogy, personally I love to see a piece of wood perfectly sanded and finished off with the finest of sandpapers. Microdermabrasion stretch marks removal is not painful and requires no anesthetic. A qualified beautician can perform it at a health clinic. There are many widely available oil or cream based preparations available in drug stores, pharmacies and over the Internet for stretch marks removal. Most of these skin care products contain a form of collagen to make the skin more elastic. Other ingredients can be vitamins A and E and cocoa extracts. Using these will improve skin health, counteract dry skin, keep the skin supple and if you massage daily while applying them will encourage circulation and ease skin tension. The important thing that you can do to achieve skin health and prevent stretch marks is to drink at least eight glasses of water a day to keep the skin hydrated.

Here’s all about Acne Blemish Treatment
Along with an acne blemish treatment, there are a few guidelines you can follow for caring for your skin. Never squeeze blemishes. Squeezing can force bacteria deeper into the pore, making the blemish worse and possibly causing scarring. Use a gentle cleanser to clean your skin, but don’t overdo it. Washing your face any more than twice a day is too much and can dry and irritate your skin, possibly worsening the acne. Also, avoid touching your face, which can introduce bacteria onto your skin.
