Proven Acne Scar Treatment

Saturday, June 17th, 2006

I have suffered from very severe acne ever since I was born…well, more like ever since I could remember my face has been filled with acne. I have been called all kids of names, but none more piercing that ‘crater face.’ My appearance had plenty of acne scars, but it wasn’t the acne that hurt the most, it was the emotional scars that were hard to heal.

If you’ve ever suffered from acne, then you already know what a debilitating affliction it is. I have had to deal with bad skin ever since I was a teenager, so I am very familiar with the shame and embarrassment that comes from having a face covered in pimples. One unique characteristic about this skin problem is the fact that sometimes it doesn’t clear up completely, and in extreme cases, can even lead to scarring.

Most adults, who survived their teenage years with no apparent acne and the lack of ‘bad skin’ that their peers struggled with are often embarrassed to discover that just when they assumed they were free from acne for ever, they have been afflicted by adult acne.

Wednesday, June 14th, 2006

Traditional cultures also still use herbs as medicines. They don’t have access to all-night pharmacies like industrialized nations do. But even industrialized nations depended on many herbs before the development of antibiotics in the 20th century. They proved to be so effective, many folk remedies fell by the wayside. People didn’t think it was important anymore to learn about herbs and how effective they can be in helping us resist and treat disease. To find out more check out this article on: About Herbs.

If you’re an acne sufferer, or if you’ve ever had acne, this article is for you. Like you, I know the pain and embarrassment acne can cause. Fast Facts About Acne - Myths to Uncover!

Tuesday, June 13th, 2006

Let’s take a look at some other popular beliefs about acne to dispel any other rumors; for example, stress. Is it true that increased stress spreads acne? Not exactly. What is true is that ultimately stress can have a very minimal or minor influence all by itself.

It cannot actually cause acne, but it can influence reoccurrences of acne as stress increases the body’s creation of a substance called cortisol that in turn causes your sebaceous glands to produce increased amounts of sebum oil that can be blocked in pores. Note, however, that some medications people take when trying to deal with or treat stress can have a large influence on acne as the result of…

Acne Forum Guide

Tuesday, June 13th, 2006

The adventure left me with mixed results. On the one hand, there was an impressive growth in the amount of information available in the acne forum to give even a casual reader all the hard facts about acne. For instance, one of the acne forums I visited busted some of the acne myths that we all grew up with. This particular forum for instance once and for all set to rest the age old belief that acne was a result of poor facial hygiene. The acne forum did not do so through didactic arguments. Instead, the acne forum was characterized by relevant scientific facts, clear explanations and a lot of concrete, real life examples.

Acne body wash guide

Tuesday, June 13th, 2006

So my acne prevention and treatment routine is a benzyl peroxide acne face wash, and a salicylic acid acne body wash. So long as I use these washes daily, I’m able to reduce the acne I would be getting by somewhere around 90%, which is great. However, there is still that 10% or so that gets by, and I can’t really seem to do much about it. The acne on my back is especially hard to prevent; no acne body wash gets rid of it completely.

Acne Blemish Treatment

Monday, June 12th, 2006

Here’s all about Acne Blemish Treatment

Along with an acne blemish treatment, there are a few guidelines you can follow for caring for your skin. Never squeeze blemishes. Squeezing can force bacteria deeper into the pore, making the blemish worse and possibly causing scarring. Use a gentle cleanser to clean your skin, but don’t overdo it. Washing your face any more than twice a day is too much and can dry and irritate your skin, possibly worsening the acne. Also, avoid touching your face, which can introduce bacteria onto your skin.

Acne Scar Laser Treatment

If you think of the new techniques, surgical, cosmetic, and other, used to remove acne marks, you might think in terms of the sculptor's clay and maneuvers analogy.  Then again, you might think more in terms of the face as an unfinished or marked piece of furniture that about to get sand-papered.  Not all that “imaginative” or, rather, new, today, though.

Can Hives Be Caused By Being Allergic To Yourself?

Tuesday, June 6th, 2006
But can chronic hives be caused by being allergic to yourself? “Sort of,” says Joseph R. Perez, M.D., an allergy/immunology specialist at Allergy & Asthma Care of Houston (http://www.aachou.com) in Sugar Land, Texas. “Growing evidence supports that a good portion of unidentified chronic hives may actually be caused by your body producing an antibody or protein that reacts with certain allergic cells or allergic proteins in your skin leading to daily hives.”
