So, I sucked it up, and figured that I’d have to get my Bon Jovi concert tickets from scalpers. I hate buying from scalpers man, I mean I’m not made of money any more, and I like to know that all my dough is going directly to keep Jon Bon Jovi rocking hard. Not to make a bundle for some scalper. So, I got to the stadium something like two hours before the show to try to find my Bon Jovi concert tickets, but no such luck. I couldn’t find anyone willing to sell for less than – get this – two hundred dollars. I don’t care how many beers I get to drink in there, or how many hotties flashing the band. There is no way that’s worth two hundred dollars. Not for a two hour show with an opening band taking up some of the time.

I think it’s my favorite of the John Wayne movies, although True Grit, with Kim Darby playing Mattie Ross to his Marshall Reuben J. ‘Rooster’ Cogburn, and  Rooster Cogburn, with Katherine Hepburn playing Eula Goodright to his same character, are up there on the “Howdy, Maam” top ten John Wayne movies…for me.

I was never into John Wayne when I was a kid watching the few available movies on the few available channels.  Maybe I couldn’t appreciate that strange, loping affect, or that exaggerated macho cowboy crap.
