Online Chess

I remember my first computer chess game. It was slow and cumbersome, predictable at times, but it could still beat the pants off me three times out of four. My favorite partner to play chess with was my father, but because he worked such long hours, he was often not there to play the game with me. Nonetheless, when he was, it was a blast. Every Sunday, we would play at least two games. My mom would be talking on the phone with a friend or reading a book while we sat in the living room, Listening to Chopin and playing chess. Then I grew up and moved away to college, online chess at first seemed like a poor substitute. Unfortunately, the chess club met at odd and inconvenient times, and I rarely had enough time to meet up with friends to get a game or two over drinks.
