I bought my new home nearly a year ago. It is a pleasant place and though not too large, the house had more than the space required by me and the infrequent guests. There was indeed one problem though when I bought it. The previous owner who bought that house in the 70s, though renovated to his liking earlier, never bothered to make any updates later. It is not that the 70s look is all that bad, but it is definitely not to to my liking. I had a lot to do between the shiny wall paper of foil and the tye-dyed carpet; in fact I did not even know that there existed tye-typed carpets!

Wallpaper was removed, paint was applied and things began to take shape. When it got to be time to start getting the old carpet out and replacing it with something more my style, I had to locate attractive, yet affordable floor covering. I decided to start in the entry and the kitchen because that’s the first place guests would see. Still, I knew I had to keep the cost down, since eventually I would have to replace it throughout my whole house.

It was promoted largely by a acquaintance that I had known who just remodeled his kitchen in a lavish wood set. I enjoyed it a lot so I thought I should give it a shot. Of course that’s not the only spot I went through. The negative thing is that, none of those matched the bright orange I was hoping for. In the end, I ended up selecting a very nice laminate that resembles a cherry color that fits in perfect with my entryway.

However, I found that that there was no additional charge for the stairs at the entry and in the kitchen and in addition shifting most of my larger furniture pieces was also included in their offer, and this made me decide in their favor.

I was so pleased with the job done by national floors direct, that several months later I also purchased some carpet from them for some of the living areas and bedrooms of my home. The crew that came to install the carpets was not the same crew, but they were equally professional, and I’m very pleased with the work that they did and the look that it brought to my new home.

I ended up buying my first home recently.
