A Common Man’s Note On Colon Carcinoma
August 16th, 2008Colon is the large intestine. And Carcinoma is another name for cancer. Therefore, the term Colon Carcinoma connotes to nothing else but the cancer of the large intestine. Colon cancer is also known as bowel cancer or colorectal cancer.
The term colon cancer is used to denote all kinds of cancerous growths not only in the large intestine, but also in the rectum and the appendix. Rectum is the final straightened portion of the large intestine, which terminates in the anus. The human rectum is approximately 12 cm long.
