You may not understand what a surge protector does, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have one. This is something you plug into the wall, and then you plug your items into the computer surge protectors. This is a protective device that will shut things down in the event that that you have a power surge in your home. These are not common, but can happen when you have power failure, most notably due to a lighting strike that hits power lines near your home. Without these computer surge protectors, your machine could be fried when this happens.
The last time I shopped for these surge protectors, I found good ones priced under ten dollars. What is great about this has more to do with the inexpensive price tag that they carry.
