When cooking minced beef or lamb, try and cook the meat in a non stick pan using as little fat as possible, then leave it to cool. You will be surprised at how much fat is now sitting on the top, just skim this off and you will have saved quite a few calories.
When making sandwiches use low fat margarine or better still don’t use any at all. You can easily put a small amount of low fat mayonaisse onto the bread if you really want it covered. If you use soft fillings you really don’t need to add anything at all.
