June 15th, 2006Getting hold of your credit report information can be a surprise as well as an important reality check.
From my own experience, I was in financial trouble and didn’t even realize it. Having moved several times in the past six months, I was unaware that I was massively in debt for unpaid bills until I subscribed to an Internet service that gave me updates of my credit report information.
Debt collectors hadn’t been able to keep up with me because I was always on the move with my job, so until I got my credit report information I wasn’t aware that I even had any debts.
This is why it’s so important to check your credit report information at least once a year, and preferably more frequently than that.
