It is very important to remember that woman adjust to having a new baby a lot faster than men do. Moms, do not expect daddy to become all fatherly the moment he sees the new born baby, men do not work like that. Mothers are able to adjust better to the new baby because of the physical, emotional and psychological changes. Men start feeling the baby only when they see the bump in the mother’s belly…
Physical Preparation:
All the father can do really before the baby is conceived is to quit smoking, drinking and change any habits that might affect the pregnancy. As we all know, what counts for the one - counts for the other. That is why Baby guide suggests that the mother does the same!
Planning for the new born baby:
The parents should be prepared to change the home to such a degree that it will accommodate the new baby, whether this may be your own bedroom (if you are planning to sleep with the baby) or a separate room. Whatever you decide, Baby Guide recommends having a separate room for the baby.
