Although there are arguably dozens of ways to find that great science fiction book, some of the most accepted are:
* Decide whether you prefer fiction or fantasy. These are two very distinct genres of science fiction books. Fantasy may include wizards, dragons and vampires. A good example of fantasy books is Tolkein’s Lord of the Rings trilogy. As for straight science fiction, popular authors include Robert A. Heinlein (To the Stars), Isaac Asimov (The Empire Novels, and Stephen King (The Cell, Christine, etc.).
